Many elephants in Thailand are forced to perform for paying tourists, they are kept in deplorable conditions and lead a painful and miserable existence. The training methods used are cruel and abusive. Businessmen make a lot of money in this industry and selling an elephant to a rescue sanctuary simply funds the buying of healthier elephants to perform. Let’s try to end the suffering of these elephants by urging the Thai government to make it illegal to use elephants in performances or for rides.
