Hi supporters!
As you know, the Tasmanian Law Reform Institute is currently conducting an inquiry into conversion practices in Tasmania.
So far, 1236 Tasmanians have signed this petition, and I have included the 87,000 signatures from this petition along with my personal submission to the TLRI.
It is really important that as many people as possible respond to the TLRI inquiry in the next two days (the closing date for submissions is 28/01/2021). Below is a message from one of Australia’s leading LGBTIQ advocates, Rodney Croome.
Hi everyone,
I’m Rodney Croome, an LGBTIQ advocate in Tasmania who has been working with Chris Csabs and others to prohibit conversion practices.
The Tasmanian Law Reform Institute is conducting an inquiry that could lead to a ban on conversion practices in the Apple Isle.
We know from heart-rending personal stories that conversion practices are still being inflicted in Tasmania. Raising your voice to the TLRI is an important way to support survivors and stop the harm.
Closing date for submissions is this Thursday, Jan 28th. To contribute you can one or more of the following…
Send in a submission to Law.Reform@utas.edu.au
Take the TLRI”s survey at https://utaseducation.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cwElnA2vNJou1Cd
