I’m really excited for tonight because SBS is finally airing the first of the two-part documentary ‘Christians Like Us’ at 8.30pm.

I wanted to write a quick update to ask for your support as you watch the show. I haven’t yet seen the episode, but I’ve been told that it will feature ‘gay conversion therapy’, as well as some intense conversations we had around the treatment of LGBTI+ people.

Let’s take the opportunity to show our leaders that we want to see this addressed in EVERY state and territory in Australia.

Being in this show was a really hard experience. But it has also led to amazing opportunities to talk with a wider audience about the importance of ending LGBT conversion.

My genuine hope is that this starts conversations - particularly in faith communities - about the way the Church has historically treated, and still treats, the LGBTI+ community and other minority groups, particularly in regard to LGBT+ conversion.
