We are entering a critical week for the Hostages.
I don’t know about you, but I am exhausted by the pain and sadness of the whole situation. Sometimes it feels as if I have no prayers left in me.
So, what to do? Take a deep breath, regroup, and keep going, keep praying.
I went looking for some inspirational words from the incredible Rachel Goldberg-Polin (mother of 24-year old Hersh who was murdered by Hamas after nearly 11 months in captivity) and here’s what I found her saying:
“When you get to a point where you feel helpless, there is always something you can do [some small act of kindness] to add more light to this world that has so much darkness and brokenness.”*
How true. The prophet Micah puts it this way:
"What does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?" (Micah 6:8)
Through our collective prayers and lifegiving choices, may this week bring hope and release for the Hostages. And hope and help for all who are suffering so terribly in this time of conflict and war.
Thank you for being part of this prayer network.
