Communities made Homeless to make Way for ‘Tent Villages’!

Daman: December 2019 - Communities evicted, land confiscated so that they can replaced with ‘Tent Village’

These ‘Tent Villages’ are for local tourists from surrounding ‘dry’ States where the sale and consumption of alcohol is prohibited. This is of course at the expense of making the communities in Daman homeless and by destroying their livelihoods in the fishing industry. 

The unspoilt coastline until now remained unexploited by commercialism.
