With the public hearing for the Long Lake Township master plan coming Tuesday, Nov. 28, the Friends for the Protection of Long Lake are hosting an online educational session with Mary Reilly, Land Use Educator with the MSU Extension. Mary will informally walk us through the role of a Township master plan, how it connects and guides zoning, and help to frame comments for effective engagement during a public hearing. This is the perfect session for someone who wants to provide input on the Long Lake Township master plan, but needs a primer on what the structure, language and changes might mean.
