It is now widely recognised that, "This miscarriage of justice involved wrongful prosecution of hundreds of sub-postmasters and mistresses for alleged theft and fraud, based on faulty information".

The Government appears to be moving very slowly to right the wrongs of this scandal.

In an article in the Times, by Tom Witherow, on Friday 23 February 2024, it is reported that 'more than 250 victims of Post Office scandal have died without justice.'
