Hello Petition Supporters!
I've been going back and forth with the DCR Fellowship Council. They finally got back to me and they have agreed to install signs "indicating that no loud noise is allowed". The signs are being produced now, will be installed at "all of the waterfronts" and "will feature graphics and icons so they can be understood across languages". I'm not sure what these signs look like, and I haven't heard back yet regarding when they will be installed. I'm hoping in time for summer. Ideally the signs would say "no audio devices allowed" but I'm considering this a victory! At least people will have signage that they can refer to in case they are being disturbed by anyone playing an audio device. Hopefully too people will see the sign and be deterred from playing them at all. We'll see how this plays out! Meanwhile, until the signs go up, I urge you to share this petition with as many people as possible. The more supporters we have the better. Also, please keep your eyes out for signage at Walden when you visit. Thanks to everyone who signed the petition so far - it's nice to see that our voices are being heard!
Best,
Chloe
