DC Comics has officially announced the DC FanDome, a 24-hour virtual event that will include fan experiences and new announcements from WB Games, Film, TV, and comics. The digital event will take place on August 22 and it said to give a first look at Matt Reeves' The Batman and unannounced WB Games projects. WB Montreal's next game is rumored to feature the Bat-Family against the Court of Owls.

According to these rumors, it will be the first non-Arkham title from Montreal, with brand new gameplay and co-op features. Rocksteady's new project instead is still a mystery. Job listings suggest that the London-based studio is working on a multiplayer "Games as a Servcice" type of game.  According to Kotaku reporter Jason Schreier, the game will star a group of characters from DC Comics.

In other news, AT&T is reportedly looking to sell WB Games, which includes studios like NetherRealm, Avalanche, and Rocksteady. The deal could be valued at $4 billion and there's reported interested from companies like Take-Two, EA, and Activision Blizzard.

Any company that does purchase WB Games will have a commercial licensing agreement where AT&T can continue to get revenue from its IP - but the rights to IP like Batman will remain to WB.  Sources say a deal is neither in place nor imminent, which means the next WB Games titles will not be affected.
