The current view on veganism and the consumption of flesh by the clergy and members of the church, pushes many believers away from the institution. Spiritual vegans would more likely maintain their faith and continue as parishioners if the church would kindly go vegan. Pope Francis, Saint Francis, the patron Saint of animals, whose namesake you have taken, would want you to be vegan. Additionally, Pope Francis, kindly order every church in your domain that uses the name Saint Francis of Assisi to immediately stop consuming animal flesh and their secretions. The current hypocracy that the church is going through should open your mind to ending all hypocracy as likely the church cannot survive many more of these episodes. As such, imagine the benefit of going vegan and preaching veganism as a return to God's Heavenly will. There is plenty of medical information and evidence that proves humans should not eat animal flesh or their secretions, there is plenty of scientific evidence that animal agriculture is poisoning the environment, there is plenty of scientific evidence that shows global warming which is killing off species is caused also by animal agriculture for the most part. Additionally, many vegans report a higher spirituality level and a closer relationship to God, after becoming vegan. This reason in and of itself should be reason enough to go vegan immediately. If there is a chance that one person in the whole congregation could benefit spiritually without harm, then the church should support veganism 100%.Should the church not show compassion above all else? As such, there is no compassion in killing another being. Therefor, kindly go vegan or Pope Francis, kindly change your name and remove Saint Francis of Assisi's name off of all your churches.
