This is beyond just our faith. We are a historically significant part of Poughkeepsie, Hudson Valley, and out own Polish American culture!!!

Our church is one of the last that possess the values and traditions of a European - American faith. Merging churches is not so much the problem as the loss in our history and religious Polish - American culture is. We have schools of Polish language that was founded here, where myself and countless others solidified our Polish- catholic history and learned the second of our tri-lingual futures . The building itself is unique in its architecture and we hold masses, celebrations, and traditions that no other Americanized catholic church holds- WE are the legacy and the future of our heritage. It IS a treasure and one that I do not want to see lost with the memories of what poughkeepsie once was, instead of what it could still be for our people! Travel is a fantastic teacher, but offering that to our people and the community  here in our own back yard is priceless.
