We need to keep going…It’s been 9 months since our son was shot and killed by two Queensland cops and despite over 22,000 signatures on our petition plus many supporters following our social media campaign there has still been NO accountability.
The inquest takes place in just 4 weeks with the police investigation still outstanding, we feel this does not give us enough time to prepare. The inquest is NOT a criminal trial though and no blame will be placed so we still need to push forward to hold them accountable.

“NO INNOCENT PERSON PUT IN DANGER”
This happened in a busy party precinct, it was after midnight and there were people all around spilling out of bars and queuing for kebabs.
You can see from these photos showing the approximate location of Luke with the 2 cops in front of him and the 2 vehicles that bullets went through behind him….you can clearly see that the white car is behind a bush and out of the sight of both cops and the black car was far away and has tinted windows.
They shot at our son 5 times !!!
Any of those bullets could have hit your loved one...
Would you expect accountability then ?
Would you be happy with police investigating police then ?
Would you not question the level of force used then ?
Please remember that Luke was just walking to the pub, he wasn’t committing a crime, the police just happened to be stood next to their police van when Luke walked past them. They asked what he had, he removed his penknife from his belt and with his arms by his side walking slowly he was shot dead... 18 seconds was all it took. He did not lunge or threaten to harm anyone.
