Velvine Nungari Kinyanjui, a young woman who was reportedly assaulted by her date, raped and suffered fatal injuries after getting sexually assaulted (raped).Part of the 24-year-old’s spine and cervix was fractured and she succumbed to the injuries at the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral, and Research Hospital. Owing to the tear-inducing circumstances surrounding her death, Kenyans from all walks of life have joined forces to voice and push for the prosecution of the man using the hashtag #justiceforvesh demanding justice for the innocent life claimed by death.
