During the nintendo treehouse livestream of sword and shield, Masuda revealed that pokemon home will NOT transfer pokemon outside of the regional pokedex in sword and shield. While he proclaims its to make it easier to maintain game balance, I believe a much easier solution is to simply disallow these pokemon in competitive environments like rated play and VGC tourneys. Simply banning all pokemon from outside the region is senseless, and we should not stand for it.
