Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25 shows once again their inability to serve their constituents fairly and in good faith. After opposition mounted for the Indian name change, the School Board of Trustees postponed their decision for another week on the new mascot. Adding another week or two, to what is seen as the predetermined Bison selection, does not in anyway solve the administrations problem that the vast majority of Pocatellians want the school to remain the Indians, nor does it slow down the school district since the new mascot will not be phased in until June of 2021. This is a token gesture with no meaning, as is this survey, which is flawed and ultimately has no real validity. The School District will simply choose the mascot they and Principal Lisa Delonas want. Growing Community support to keep the Indians will continue as three members of the current school Board will likely be replaced next May, when the current recall effort again seems likely to succeed.  According to an Idaho State Journal survey, the "Indians" remains the preferred choice of Pocatello Citizens.
