Now’s our chance to ensure that the PM talks about the inequality in our homes and urges the majority of men in India to step up and do an equal share of housework. The lockdown and the new Work-from-Home culture (that looks like it is here to stay for sometime) has highlighted the unfair division of labour in many Indian homes.
Aatmanirbhar (self-reliant) is a new word the nation learned after the PM talked about it in his last speech. Let’s request PM to address the issue of household chores because Aatmanirbharta (self-reliance) must begin at home.
