Mula-Mutha Rivers regularly feature in the list of 'Most Polluted Rivers of India'. It is a sad irony that a city known to be 'Oxford of East' has such a notorious distinction also! Major Reason of this is untreated sewage being dumped in the rivers for so many years. The issue has been almost always neglected by Civic Administration, Political fraternity as well as citizens at large. Citizens will have to create this pressure on Administration & Politicians (ruling as well as opposition) to act on this on war footing. As citizens we feel ashamed to be in this list of cities with most polluted rivers. Untreated Sewage is killing our Rivers, Killing our Health, Killing our Future and also Killing our Pride of being Punekars....
