Many thanks to everyone who has signed so far, but please share so we can win this petition. Rents are high in many places in Australia, especially the city. I think high rates/tax charges must help to drive rents upward. I don't mind paying for a fair thing, but this illegal council tax has nothing to do with paying for services. If we can win this petition, then the people who lost their homes may be able to get them back, & once we set a precedent, then councils Australia wide will no longer be able to take people's homes & sell them.
