Survey showed that 45% of tenants (non residential leases) expect to be ‘severely affected’ by the extended shutdown, and may shutter and lay off staff over the coming months. ‘The extension of Job Support Scheme is very helpful, but we need more support on rental rebates from mall operators and owners’.

On top of proposing 2 months rental rebate (inclusive of the property tax rebate being passed down)  for non essential services which were forced to close for 2 months during CB, we also propose that only 15% GTO rental be charged by landlords for essential services that are operating.

We currently have close to 4,000 signatures in less than 5 days this petition was set up, we need to increase awareness of this petition, can I kindly appeal to all to share this petition with 3-5 of your friends within the next few days. Once we have at least 15,000 signatures, I will submit this petition to the Minister for Law.
