Congratulations. In 2021, we had together seen a dream that someday the 60,000 street children of Delhi would have access to proper housing, food, education and medical aid. With the support of each of the 19,000+ signatories to this petition our dream transformed into a powerful voice for the rights of the street children, the echoes of which finally reached the echelons of power in Delhi. Last week, the Delhi Government heard your voice and acted on it by announcing that Rs. 10 Cr will be provided to create residential schools for our homeless children. Though much more will have to be done by the government considering the huge number of children, this is indeed a powerful step in the right direction. As far as I know nothing like this has ever been tried anywhere in India. This day has become a reality only because of your continuous support and for this I will always be grateful. However though the battle in Delhi may have been won, the war for the rights of the 3 million street children across India continues. We will have to work together with greater dedication to win it too. We owe it our invisible children. Thanks Aditya Dubey
