Americans Need Better Understanding Of Other Languages & Cultures

The attitude English is sufficient enough to communicate with people around the world has to change to a better understanding in students as to how learning more languages can set them apart. "We have a different situation today, where our economic competitiveness is going to be based on our ability to sell our goods worldwide and to be able to conduct diplomacy with other countries." "The way that you do that is by speaking their language and understanding their cultures." To achieve this goal languages should be tought at an early level. Preferably one language in Elementary school with more than two langauges offered in Middle school. Spanish and french are just not enough in our RPS district! German should be re-introduced in Middle schools and one other important global language. How to achieve more interest in language enrollment? By educating our parents and students about their importance for college enrollments and later business possibilities all around the world!
