Hello Hawthorne Neighbors, 

Thank You for taking action by signing and spreading the word. With your help continuing to share on your socials, by texts, and word of mouth, you let other residents also have a say on Hawthorne's intention for paid metered parking that affects all residents. We need everyone who lives and works in  Hawthorne to know what's going on so they too can have a fair chance to oppose. 

Here is the most recent city of Hawthorne's planning commissions meeting clip where the metered parking plan is mentioned. I have now included this clip into the petition as well. 

If you listen carefully, you will note that our planning commissioner can make code amendments, does not want to make the parking situation worse, realizes that parking in Hawthorne is a serious issue ALL OVER HAWTHORNE, and that this will make "unhappy people". These are just some of the reasons why there should never be paid parking in Hawthorne! 

Your signatures can influence the final say. You can also email the city council or planning commission with your concerns about this paid parking issue. Ask questions, speak your mind, and be informed. 

Remember, the city is supposed to hear you out and work toward benefitting our community.
