David Knight interviews Dwight Mitchell of FPF (Family Preservation Foundation) regarding their free CPS (Child Protection Services) legal aid video educational series for parents. The number one priority of FPF is to keep children out of the failing foster care system and with their families whenever possible. Approximately 2/3 of the parents go through the entire CPS court process without legal representation or education. As reported by the Minnesota judiciary, approximately 5,000 of the 7,500 annual new cases are not represented by legal counsel. 437,283 American children were forcible removed from their parents last year. The videos educate the viewer on their legal rights, the CPS process, CPS timeline, working with their attorney and/or working Pro Se to name a few topics. This will allow the viewer to better understand their rights and options while involved with CPS.
