Randolph County, NC mourns the loss of this Commissioner, who died on his birthday at age 73. He is the man who spoke up, and stood up for dogs, and led the Randolph County Commissioners to pass legislation banning Dog Chaining. Stan was a hero to all dogs & Citizens in Randolph County.
He was a great man! He will be sorely missed!
Every Commissioners Board needs good men like this who emanate courage & ethics, to stand up & do the right thing at all times, like Stan.
"When considering important issues for the county, Haywood didn’t wait for the public to come to him to express their opinions. He’d go out in the community to ask what they thought."
