If you don't have plans, and live anywhere near North Carolina....on July 7, at 7pm, we will show up in our "Unchain Shirts" at a Davidson County Commissioner's Meeting, to try to persuade the Commissioners to pass a Tethering Ordinance. In a neighboring County, Randolph County, the Animal Control Officer said it has really made his job easier! There is no way any Animal Control, no matter how dedicated, or effective, can possibly save every dog on a chain, but it has eliminated about 75% - 90% of the chaining, and cruelty associated with chaining. The dogs of Davidson County, NC are REALLY SUFFERING in this heat!
