Thank you for standing up to protect children in our community from sexual corruption and harm! For those who will be speaking out against SDUSD’s Sexual Health Education Program (SHEP) on February 27th at the Board of Education Meeting and/or joining the concerned citizen’s rally, here’s important information: The board meeting begins at 5:00PM, at the Eugene Brucker Auditorium, 4100 Normal Street, San Diego, CA 92103. Please sign up in advance to speak during Public Testimony, on or before the morning of the meeting. Here is the link: https://www.sandiegounified.org/forms/public-testimony-request-form We'll be rallying outside starting at 4:00PM with a press conference at 4:30PM. Please invite friends and family members to the rally via social media—we are hoping for a very large crowd of thousands to show community concern. We expect media coverage of this event. Please bring a sign (11x14 max size (foldable)) with one of the following suggested messages: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OCBPEaEcUdzC2pp-DyOyfDTuH4woofVsFcvGVuzglYo/edit?usp=sharing Please come early to find parking and a seat inside the building. During the board meeting, please be prepared to speak for one to three minutes. Our time is usually limited to one minute, but can go up to three, depending on the number of speakers. We expect a lot of speakers, so SDUSD will likely limit your time to one minute. Have longer and shorter versions of your talk prepared (and time them) to make the most of your opportunity. Please submit a draft of your message to cwalker@nclplaw.org. It doesn't have to be perfect, but needs be in line with these talking points: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eR8lBNfvJ--1gUcXJzV9rPQQPjYBXsSf0Tw0KCkaXs0/mobilebasic We'll be speaking during non-agenda public testimony, which generally happens in the first 5 - 10 minutes of the meeting. If you arrive late, you can still sign up at the board meeting and speak at the end of the meeting. Thank you! Concerned Parents of SDUSD
