Why is Niagara Falls Politics effecting the Youth? It’s not about race, it’s about class!

Sources confirm that Mayor Restaino does not want independent voices in office — specifically City Councilman Donta Myles, Sean Mapp (4th District candidate), Dante Richardson (6th District candidate), Vincent Cauley (City Council candidate), and Tanya Barone (City Council candidate). Why? Because these candidates are backing NST and standing against his agenda to economically control Niagara Falls from City Hall. The Mayor’s plan is clear: • Take control of local hockey tournaments by replacing NST with Legacy Hospitality. • Use Legacy as leverage to push through his Centennial Park project. • Hand-pick loyal candidates who will rubber-stamp his agenda, instead of protecting community interests. He knows the five candidates above will not let him bully the community for his own gain — and that’s why he’s working overtime to block them. ⸻ A Track Record of Broken Promises This isn’t speculation — it’s a pattern: • Earlier this year, the Mayor redirected 4th District funds away from Beech Ave Park Community Center. • He canceled $2 million in minority business grants, originally promised to revitalize Main Street and create student housing. • When the African-American community began speaking up at City Council, leadership changed the rules to silence them instead of listening. Meanwhile, promises from his 2023 reelection campaign have gone unfulfilled. ⸻ The Democrat Party’s Strategy Local Democrats are telling the Mayor to “slow down” until after the November 2025 election because they know voters are unhappy. Behind closed doors, their plan is to: • Strike a short-term deal with NST to quiet community outrage. • Replace NST with Legacy after the election, once their candidates are safely in office. This is not leadership — it’s a bait-and-switch on the people of Niagara Falls. ⸻ The Stakes for 2025 If you want real change, do not vote for Kinney, Munoz, B. Myles, Elder, or Farruggia. They are the Mayor’s puppets — he personally secured their endorsements — and they will never stand up to him. This election is about whether Niagara Falls continues to be run for one man’s agenda, or whether residents finally elect leaders with independence, vision, and courage.
