Hello Supporters,

I have been working behind the scenes attempting to reach Prosecutor Andrew Palestini of the Animal Cruelty Unit (still have not gotten a single response) as well as trying to get the Fish & Wildlife police report through OPRA (Offical Public Records Act) and was denied.  Also, made a phone call to Fish & Wildlife and spoke to the Chief, who was short, and said the only info we would see is what is in the news media.  From here, I am going to wait until late Feb. 2023 and will submit two more OPRA requests, one for the court transcripts, and another for the legal briefs once they have been filed.  The reason for this is to learn more about the investigation, to try and gain a better understanding of why Matthew Ligus was not charged with animal cruelty, despite one of the criteria being the unlawful killing of an animal.
