Last night’s community meeting had almost 200 students, families and community members speaking to the DPS school board and superintendent regarding the school closures! The vote will occur this Thursday, November 17th. Regardless of the outcome, everyone should be proud of how our communities rallied together for our children! While we hope the board members truly listened to how much our neighborhood schools mean to us and will consider other options to address declining enrollment issues, the support from all of you has been overwhelming! Thank you to everyone who signed this petition, shared, allowed the petition to be displayed in your business, made signs to display and just simply took the time to care about our small schools. Thank you for sending emails to the board members in support of keeping our schools open. 

We will be having our fingers crossed that the board will vote NO to closing small schools and will also rescind the small schools resolution. We hope we will be able to come together as a community along with DPS leadership to provide alternative ideas and solutions. You ALL are amazing and we are so grateful for your support!
