**Update - ABP have confirmed 45 requests received!! This is up from 6 in 2022 so a special THANK YOU from the #SaveShanganaghPark team for all your efforts to support the campaign! We now await ABP’s decision - let’s hope it’s the right one so an EIA can be undertaken…**
*Update - we will provide a template should anyone wish to copy/adapt for both their ABP submission (due by 3 May) and their Part 8 submission to DLRCOCO (due by 22 May)*
Make a free request to An Bord Pleanála to ensure DLRCOCO have done their homework properly!
The Council don’t believe they need an Environmental Impact Assessment for their latest Part 8 plans for Shanganagh Park - we believe they do given:
- the footprint of the proposals
- their failure to take into account the other elements of the 2019 Masterplan (which they already plan to change in July anyway)
Add to that already dated and incomplete information contained in their screening reports and the obvious question is what have they got to hide?!
Look at the small print on the site notices gone up around the Park and you’ll see the following discreetly included (they don’t want you to know but have to include it!):
“Any person may, within 4 weeks from the publication date of this notice, apply to An Bord Pleanála for an EIA screening determination as to whether the proposed development would be likely to have significant effects on the environment.”
Action required no later than 03 May 2023
1. Email your request for an EIA determination to sids@pleanala.ie
2. Reference the DLR Part 8 Shanganagh Park (PC/PKS/01/23)
3. Share and ask others to do similar!
Thank you - the more requests for a determination, the greater the chance of getting one!
