Not than anyone needs an excuse to come and spend some time in our glorious Shanganagh Park, but for those supporters who are free tomorrow (Wednesday 01 June), do come and enjoy the unveiling of a musical installation at 1pm adjacent to green shipping containers in the field where the two Cuala GAA pitches are, you know, the ones DLRCOCO could have chosen to upgrade with floodlighting and proper drainage (as per community wishes) but preferred instead to remove one, replace it with a duck pond beside a busy road in order to get more funding for a "regional park" (even though there's an existing pond in the grounds of Shanganagh Castle already) while ripping out the meadow at the heart of the park and replacing it with an "intensive active recreation zone" etc. etc. - you know the story - that's why you're here!
So hope to see you there and bring the noise - who knows, there just might be a couple of local Councillors there for a photo opportunity so we can have a quiet word with them about the vote on 9 May...
