T-Minus 5 days to go, it's late and we're done for the day/night but before powering down, a snapshot of Wednesday:
- call with media on the #SaveShanganaghPark campaign - it's not quite Joe Duffy o'clock just yet but you never know!
- more Facebook posts to more groups and figuring out how to make a somewhat easier to remember username: www.facebook.com/SaveShanganaghPark
- volunteers walking the park, meeting park users and distributing information leaflets
- information sharing with more resident groups and leaflet drops to happen tonight/Thursday in Castle Farm
- another 120 approx. signatures (remember to check your Junk Folder as you have to verify your email address!)
- submission letter drafted for residents to sign
- laminates ready for the final weekend's push
- and this and probably more but that'll do for now!
The overwhelming, unprompted response we're receiving (apart from "They want to do what?!?!?") is "Why can't the Council just leave it alone and improve the existing facilities?".
We agree and so do nearly 500 of you so thank you for all your support and efforts to mobilise your families, friends and neighbours and get engaged. Please keep the pressure on to submit, sign and share until the Council close their physical and virtual doors on Tuesday evening.
