Petition update#SaveShanganaghParkMore pitches or Less Parks?
Save Shanganagh ParkDublin, Ireland
Jan 20, 2022

Thank you all so much for the passionate support as we hit 200 signatures and 150 shares - your efforts are hugely appreciated as we try to preserve the necessary balance for both park and pitches, passive and active recreation, people and planet, now and in the future.

We’ve been in contact with residents and resident associations, trying to spread the word so people take their opportunity to speak up and have their voice and any concerns heard.

But there’s still work to do so please, with the clock ticking down to the DLRCOCO consultation deadline on Tuesday 01 Feb, remember to amplify your voice and double your impact by making your submission to https://dlrcoco.citizenspace.com/parks/pc-pks-03-2021-proposed-development-at-shanganagh/consultation/intro/

- if there are two of you, make a submission each

-if there is more than one person in your household with an email, make sure they submit too

- if you have friends or family that have visited the park in the past, let them know

A reminder that as per the site notice,  submissions or observations may be made in writing on or before Tuesday, 1st February 2022 inclusive as follows:

(a) in writing and clearly marked ‘PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT AT SHANGANAGH PARK (PHASE 1) PC/PKS/03/21’ and addressed to:

Eoin O’Brien

Senior Executive Park Superintendent

Department of Community and Cultural Development

Dún Laoghaire- Rathdown County Council

County Hall

Marine Road

Dún Laoghaire

Co. Dublin

A96 K6C9

(b) dlr consultations on the Council’s website at https://dlrcoco.citizenspace.com/parks/pc-pks-03-2021-proposed-development-at-shanganagh/consultation/intro/; or

(c) by email to parksconsultations@dlrcoco.ie

Submissions and Observations should be clearly marked ‘PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT AT SHANGANAGH PARK (PHASE 1) PC/PKS/03/21’

Sincere thanks again - we’re all custodians of this wonderful amenity and must let the planners and politicians know that alternative, more practical, cost-effective and sustainable solutions for sport facilities exist other than what the Masterplan and Phase One propose!
