Firstly, I'd like to thank you so so much for signing this petition, and standing with me to denounce 13Cabs actions towards myself as a driver, and the unsafe practices they continue to place on the general public as customers and passengers.
I'd like to say 13Cabs is a preferred safe transport method in Australia, however; unfortunately it has along way to go there to be considered safe at all.
I have witnessed the dark side of how they operate, and what lengths they will go to, so they don't take responsibility or liability when incidents happen or someone gets hurt.
Secondly, if you have donated funds to this petition to support me and have this petition be seen by more people, or shared this petition - I really appreciate it, I really do - although i don't want you to spend your money trying to get this seen, I would prefer thou if you shared it to friends and family, colleagues and anyone in business with these 13Cabs...
This may send this national transport company a clear message to get their ethics improved and adopt better individuals within management to support the good drivers in this industry who are left at risk every day, along with their loyal customers.
When we as people, as a community, as customers are aware of unsafe conditions occuring - everyone can make better choices for their own safety - especially when we are stuck and need such as a taxi late at night, instead of being or feeling threatened, or thrown out unfairly for no reason and left stranded and treated unsafely - you may wish to avoid such occurrences that happen more time than you would actually believe, you should be able to go to 13Cabs office and speak with management to share your concerns and get immediate action to ensure it doesn't happen again if an incident does occur, last night, or during the weekend -
You would be absolutely wrong! In fact, the next week, fortnight, month- you could be back in that unsafe position once again with the same driver, as management and operations in its current state; are failing in many aspects, simple care or duty of care is not present here and hasn't been since witnessed from 2019.
Their is no one currently in this company Australia-wide over looking these factors, as a customer you are alone if something did happen, and if you expect 13Cabs to come and make it right, you best think again!
Please be careful with this transport option, just because they send out an email with promises of safety, or that your teens are safe in a cab after they've been to a friend's house at night and they market such to be perceived as safer than any other transport option at that time of night, it doesn't mean it is like this 100% of the time which is what they advise it is.
13Cabs also sent these emails during the height of Covid in every outbreak; advising clean cabs throughout the network, when this was not checked throughly placing the public's health at risk. This was advised to Health NSW and Safe Work NSW... To date, I have not been updated on any checks or regarding this complaint to be advised of the outcome?
If you are elderly and rely on 13Cabs - you are very much most at risk, the behaviour again that i witnessed in 12 months alone towards the elderly clients - made me question my own safety many times from management, and sometimes I'm thankful I'm out of this unsafe work environment, although I don't go and leave my community at risk for something serious to occur or someone to be harmed.
Hopefully 13Cabs and someone in government will hear us, and hopefully in the next twelve months when I increase my presence and my voice towards these people in public, they will start to listen and get on board with changing what they state is normal practice which is risk to people's safety! It is not normal to operate without such care to others safety and life, and should never be accepted as normal.
It cannot stay as it is - that is the main aim here, and I need you to share the hell out of this petition to protect your loved ones and your community and make companies like 13cabs take serious concerns by their drivers more on board instead of kicking these great people to the kerb.
Our local governments don't care to know or to act, nor do our local council, again- doesn't want to know! Our state government are that much in a mess, all we get from unsafe practices and threats on safety when their approached about 13Cabs is a replied template letter to thank us for taking the time to write and make them aware, although they also repeat the abuse on towards drivers and make excuses for such endangerment. Their is something very wrong in our society when the people whom are there to help, steer you away with blame, ridicule and don't take the time to look at it properly.
I will keep speaking up, I will go to the lengths in time to stand in the middle of the road if I have to, with a sign; to get the message across, to continue this fight and make them listen, to ensure they put passenger safety and drivers concerns at the forefront of their operations, this cannot keep continuing at the cost to innocent lives like mine, who nearly commit suicide due to failures of a company who just want to put you down, stomp on you and get you away so they don't need to change at all.
Merry Christmas, Be Safe.
Regards, Adam B
