Law OPI: CPD/CPB, NUMBER: 5100.08 is of immense importance for the welfare and rights of inmates' families across the country. This law, which was designed with consideration for the hardships faced by the families of incarcerated individuals, has yet to receive the attention and enforcement it deserves. And the Corrupt leadership in the Bureau of Prisons continues to get away with snubbing their nose at, and ignoring the law.
It's critical to emphasize that in the United States, 2.7 million children have a parent in prison, and these families, would greatly benefit from the full enforcement of this law (Source: The Annie E. Casey Foundation).
This law is not just a matter of bureaucracy, but holds the potential to positively transform the lives of thousands of families living in the shadows of imprisonment.
