The Issue
Sweet Magnolias has captured the hearts of fans everywhere. As devoted fans of this passionate fanbase, we are begging for one final season to wrap up the storylines and give the characters, and most importantly the fans, a happy ending.
The beloved residents of Serenity have become like family to many of us. There are numerous story arcs that deserve a meaningful conclusion, and one last season needs to provide the redemption and closure we deeply desire.
The HUGE #TyAnnie fanbase was devastated and left yearning to see Ty and Annie reunite and end up together forever! We need to SEE it on the show. They need to end up together, engaged. They were like the new Maddie and Cal.
Additionally, Dana Sue's relationship with Ronnie remains a critical plot that warranted a kinder landing.
Fans want to see their journey toward mending their bond, restoring their marriage (again).
The marriage between Maddie and Cal holds a beautiful potential, one that could ideally end with Maddie expecting a new baby with Cal, beginning a new family together, just like the books.
Helen's story is another facet of the Sweet Magnolias universe that deserves to unfold one last time. The surprise of a long awaited pregnancy, at the very end, for Helen and Erik would bring an exciting and unexpected blessing to Helen's story, one that promises a happy new chapter that Helen has always wanted and what fans want for her.
It is not just the fans who are devastated by the abrupt end. The actors who have brought these vibrant characters to life also deserve one last chance to say goodbye in a manner suitable to this beloved series. By concluding the show with one last season, Sweet Magnolias can receive the homage that it rightfully deserves; a HAPPY (sweet) magnolias ending.
