Mississippi lawmakers are considering parental leave. The Mississippi Attorney General, among others, has expressed her support.

Mississippi expects a $600 million state revenue increase for next year. Now is the time to speak up.

As a reminder, the U.S. is the only major country in the world that doesn't have paid parental leave policies. Too many people, especially women, have to choose between their careers and their families. But change is coming, including in our region, with many of our peers, such as the University of Tennessee, Georgia, Louisiana, and Missouri systems, now offering paid parental leave. The IHL can join them.
