Dear Hawthorn to Box Hill Trail supporter,

Community consultation on proposed new links/paths in Council’s draft the draft Boroondara Greenways Plan closes 5 pm Tuesday 5 May 2026 

Greenways connect parks, reserves, and other green spaces, creating continuous routes for residents and visitors to enjoy. The City is investing in expanding and improving these greenways, aiming to enhance connectivity, encourage active transportation, and reduce reliance on cars.

This includes local links to the Hawthorn to Box Hill Trail.  

You can contribute your thoughts and suggestions on how to improve walking and cycling routes and where new links are needed.

Feedback is being sought on:

30 new street-based paths to link up the existing routes in parks and reserves across Boroondara.
23 new links in parks and reserves.
