UPDATE OCTOBER 8, 2023:

FIRST OF ALL, I WANT TO APOLOGIZE TO EVERYONE FOR NOT POSTING THE UPDATES TODAY. SOMETHING VERY UNEXPECTED CAME UP TODAY AND SO I COULD NOT DO THE POSTING.

I WANT TO ALERT YOU THAT ANDREW ACCEPTED A DARK GRAY FLEECE JACKET FROM TWO VERY GENEROUS LADIES WHO HAPPENED TO BE AT EARL'S RESTAURANT. MORE INFORMATION BELOW

SIGHTINGS TODAY:
10:10 a,m, Andrew was near Yonge and Golfdale. Photo was sent.
4:30 p.m. Andrew went to Earl's Kitchen, an upscale pub at Yorkdale Mall today. This is a story about a lady with a very BIG HEART!.

A lady figured Andrew may have taken the subway to the mall. The lady recognized Andrew and told the waitress that she would take care of his bill. Andrew must have decided to treat himself to a Thanksgiving celebration. He has been enduring a torture test in the cold, rain and wind with no jacket. He ordered a whole pizza, ribs and Cabernet Sauvignon. This shocks me, as Andrew does not usually drink. The lady generously paid for the bill plus a tip.

Not only that she went out in the mall and purchased Andrew a DARK GRAY warm fleece jacket. They went behind Andrew's chair and dropped the jacket on the floor behind the chair and said, "This must be your jacket." They had to leave, but found out later that Andrew did finally accept the jacket.

I had a opportunity to give a very sincere thank you to the lady for being so kind and generous. It was actually her sister that sent posts about Andrew to her.
2:00 p.m. Andrew was spotted at Dufferin and Orfus. Photos were sent.
5:30 p.m. Spotted Andrew at Ranee Avenue and Dufferin. Saw this on Dufferin and St. Clair West Comm Group.
It is pouring rain, windy and 8 degrees. Most businesses will be closed tomorrow. However, I think Tim Horton's, Shopper's Drug and McDonald's might be open.

LAST SIGHTING YESTERDAY:
8:38 p.m. We are grateful to a young lady who spotted Andrew sitting in front of the Metro at Yonge Eglinton Centre. He was eating snacks. He ate most things that he had but on the way out he threw the balance of the food in the garbage. Andrew does not see beyond the meal he just had. The young lady sat watching Andrew for an hour or so, as we hoped the young man would arrive with the jacket etc.

Unfortunately, Andrew left the mall running out the door at 9:00 p.m. The young lady followed Andrew for a few blocks and was able to provide the street and direction Andrew was headed. Many thanks to this young lady for being so willing to help locate our son and to give of her time to keep in touch with us.

Thanks also to the married couple that searched for Andrew yesterday. They had clothing that was donated by a lady from the Jewish community.
We have a theory why Andrew is not accepting the sneakers or jacket. Andrew is very smart. Andrew may believe that there is a chip in the sneakers and an Air Tag sewn in the jacket for tracking purposes.

Andrew is an elite marathon runner so the chip is very familiar to him. He is also very techy so would be aware of the Air Tag possibility, It is a matter of life and death that Andrew accept a warm winter jacket and proper footwear or he will not survive the winter. It is 4 degrees in Toronto today and we suspect that Andrew is very cold.

ANDREW IS WEARING A NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS BROWNISH LONG SLEEVE SHIRT AND BLUE JEANS. ANDREW'S SIZE 13 SNEAKERS ARE IN SHREDS. ANDREW HAS REFUSED TO ACCEPT THREE PAIRS OF SNEAKERS OFFERED TO HIM.

ANDREW IS 39 years old, 6' 3", shoulder length brown hair, blue eyes, 150 pounds, and bearded. Andrew is an elite marathon runner, so moves quickly from place to place.

How much longer must Andrew endure these weather conditions? Soon the temperatures will drop significantly with snow. Andrew does not have the capability to care for himself.

He will never survive on the streets of Toronto. Last winter Andrew had a rental car where he slept at night. All he has this winter are the clothes on his back and tattered sneakers. All the steps we have taken are not working. We are frustrated beyond words!

Andrew is suffering from a serious mental illness. He is not violent. Andrew does not realize that he is seriously ill due to his symptom of ANOSOGNOSIA. It also causes Andrew to have bad judgement, such as walking across a busy street, not in the crosswalk or walking back and forth onto the road from the sidewalk.

Many thanks to the people of Ontario who have come to Andrew's rescue by providing food, water, money and clothing. It will not be easy for people to spot Andrew in the winter.

A lady sent the following message, "It is so powerful how a loving community can move its members for an altruistic reason."

Please continue to pray for Andrew that God will grant a Form 2 and the MIRACLE of a Form 1 admittance soon. Then the P.E.I. medical transfer provision may be actioned by the Ontario Minister of Health, Sylvia Jones or designate.
