UPDATE JULY 30, 2023
Heather M. reported that Andrew was standing on South East corner Dufferin/Steeles on the Toronto/Vaughan border. This was at 7:50pm
Chana B. and Seth M. notified that Andrew was at the Promenade Mall Food Court in Thornhill. Andrew was offered food but politely declined. This is at Bathurst and Centre. It was reported that he looked a little dejected and tired in his own world. This was at 5:50 pm
Sabrina B. reported that Andrew was on Bathurst North of Steeles and sent a photo.
I am having difficulty sharing daily Facebook reports as Facebook has suspended that ability for 6 days. Hope to have it back by August 1, 2023. I am not sure what I did wrong.
Please continue to send photos with date, time and location. These are the lifeline to our son.
I am hoping that Andrew might be hospitalized this week. I have lodged a compliant with the hospital. I believe that the psychiatrist should not have released Andrew after 72 hours. Andrew's doctor from P.E.I. was willing to assist with a medical transfer to an Island hospital.
The Ontario doctor felt that Andrew was not a harm to himself or others and would not support this request. Andrew was released at 5:00 pm, July 17, 2023 with an impending heatwave in Toronto. Because of this decision I am continuing to track Andrew as best I can. I believe this doctor put our son's life in danger. An investigator will contact me Monday or Tuesday. Praying for a MIRACLE!
Many thanks to the countless people who have sent photos and information regarding Andrew's location. Also thanks to all the people who have offered to search for Andrew and provided food, water and money.
Thanks to Maureen Trask, Advocate for Missing Persons who has been tracking Andrew's footsteps on an Ontario map.
I am most thankful for the 1284 signatures that have been received on our PLEASE BRING ANDREW BRYENTON HOME PETITION. We are close to 1500 signatures. Please notify your friends and family. There are thousands of people who have been following Andrew's heartbreaking mental illness story for nine months.
Thanks to Kerry M. volunteer investigator with the PLEASE BRING ME HOME ORGANIZATION. Kerry suggested that I start the petition.
Andrew's story has helped to raise an awareness about the broken health care system. I believe there needs to be amendments made to the Mental Health Act. There are so many Andrews on the streets with no home and no hope.
Thanks to everyone for all your support, care and compassion.
