OK guys here’s a big announcement directly from Rational vaccines
This announcement is significant for a few reasons.
The MHRA (which is the UK is equivalent to the FDA) has publicly announced to the world that herpes is a serious issue and needs to be addressed.
Chronic pain, frequent outbreaks, depression, infant mortality, blindness, and HIV are all intertwined with herpes simplex. This is the first time ever that a regulatory branch of medical professionals respects the seriousness of this infection.
Secondly, new drug trials will begin for the immunotherapy treatment (created by Rational Vaccines) and officially begin in the UK. This is groundbreaking because it also infers the possibility of making this new treatment available after three years. This is partly due to fast-tracking the treatment and combining phase 2 and phase 3 while still maintaining proper safety and efficacy.
Hopefully, within this narrow timeframe, people will finally be allowed to receive the same treatment that I did in 2016 (and I can get a booster shot).
Finally, the patient's needs are taken into account and ultimately our voices are being heard!
