When I started this petition, it was in the darkest chapter of my life.

Jack’s death changed everything. What began as unbearable grief became a determination to fight for change so that other families might be spared the pain we live with every day.

Because of you, your signatures, your sharing, your belief  this campaign has had real impact. Conversations have happened that would never have happened. Awareness has grown, accountability has been demanded, and Jack’s name has been spoken in rooms where change begins.

Today, I want to share something significant.

Jack’s Law is currently under review to explore extending it to support more bereaved parents and families.

That review would not be happening without the collective voice behind this campaign. This is how change happens not loudly all at once, but steadily, because people refuse to look away.

For that, I am deeply grateful.

Behind every meeting and milestone.

However there has also been something quieter.

The daily reality of grief.

The long nights.

The anniversaries.

The way loss reshapes a life.

Alongside campaigning, I trained and worked as a grief therapist. I have sat with hundreds of people navigating their own heartbreak, and through that work and my own lived experience something else began to grow.

I have written a book!!!

Your Heart’s Garden is not about policy or legislation. It is about the human heart. It is a gentle companion for anyone walking through grief  whether their loss is recent or years old. It reflects everything this campaign has taught me, that love does not end, that grief changes shape, and that hope can exist in the same soil as sorrow.

This campaign was born from tragedy.

This book was born from survival.

The fight for change continues. I am not stepping away, but I am widening the way I support bereaved families not only by pushing for reform, but by offering comfort and understanding in the quiet spaces grief leaves behind.

If this petition brought you here because you care about protecting families, thank you. Your voice is still making a difference.

If you or someone you love is carrying loss, I hope this book might sit gently beside you.

Thank you for standing with us.

Thank you for keeping Jack’s name alive.

and thank you for continuing to believe that change in systems and in hearts is possible.

With gratitude,

Lucy
