It’s noisy here outside the gates of Playmobil. We’re standing on the top of the toy box with a megaphone shouting out a big LOUD HEARTY THANK YOU to all of you who have signed our petition - all 50,000 of you, in just one week!
You’re doing great things for the 150 million kids with disabilities worldwide who need positive toy box representation.
But inside the great factory of plastic people all is silent. The doors are still closed. You people of the world have signed your names. We people of Toy Like Me have been on telly, on the radio and in blogs and newspapers the world over. Together we are a loud crowd, but not loud enough.
So all together now, lovers of small plastic play figures, let’s email the marketing manager - jamie_dickinson@playmobil.de
And say...
“Dear Playmobil, Toy Like Me just want to be your friends. They want to work together to get you out of the Victorian toy box and into the modern age. Oh, where are your wheelchair wizards, blind princesses, fairies with hearing aids? Please positively represent the 150 million kids worldwide with disabilities. Take them out of the medical sets and into the fancy dress box and we will love you forever!”
.....or words to that effect.
Then come onto facebook.com/toylikeme and tell us you’ve done it.
Go on, we dare you! We will, if you will.
Love the Toy Like Me team
