STOP PLANS TO BUILD A HIGH SPEED TEST TRACK ON BOSWORTH BATTLEFIELD!

The Issue

Please help us defend the historic battlefield of Bosworth!

You may have heard by now that there has been an application to build a driverless car track on part of the battlefield of Bosworth. If the application goes ahead it will not only destroy a key corner of this important battlefield but also risk  other battlefields–Individually these may not do enough substantial harm to lead to an objection by Historic England but when taken together may well cause serious damage indeed.

Like many other interested parties we have only just found out about this worrying development. Although comments on the planning portal are now closed we have been informed that objections can still be lodged. So please help us defend this key historic site by emailing a brief letter of objection to planning@hinckley-bosworth.gov.uk

The planning reference is 18/00425/FUL

The Planning Committee did meet on Tuesday 28th August and the decision was deferred by a majority of 12:2 with one abstention.  It will again be before the Planning Committee on Tuesday, September 25th. Please continue to protest in the strongest (but polite) possible terms by making your objections known to:

planning@hinckley-bosworth.gov.uk

It is essential to include your full name and address with the above planning reference number.  Please also sign and share this Petition as every little thing can help!
