NEWBURY TOWN COUNCIL PLANNING AND HIGHWAYS COMMITTEE MEETING - 25 JANUARY

PLANNING APPLICATION 20/03041/FUL
The newest planning application recently submitted to widen the Warren Road and ultimately give the Developers and West Berkshire Council access to the Sandleford Development will be discussed by Newbury Town Council. If this road gets the go-ahead it is one big step towards creating an all-vehicle access road to Sandleford. There will be approx 1500 houses built on the western side of the development - Central and Western parcel (Wash Common side), reliant on a bridge which may never get built to reach the other 3 access roads. It is estimated that vehicle movements will be 1200+ vehicles per peak hour, many of whom will use the nearest access, the Warren Road, coming out in front of Falkland Primary School and running alongside Park House school. If you haven't sent an objection letter and plan to, it is not too late (Planapps@westberks.gov.uk). Just send a previous letter but change the planning application number as the application hasn't changed much! It is so important to show your support
The Town Council's Planning and Highways Committee will consider the Warren Road planning application on the 25 January 2021 at 7pm/1900 hrs - due to the current Coronavirus situation, this meeting will be held online by virtual meeting.
