Plaidoyer pour une meilleure prise en charge globale du cancer au Cameroun.
Le problème
🛑 URGENCE CANCER AU CAMEROUN : Exigeons des soins accessibles et dignes pour tous !
Face au coût écrasant de la maladie, le cancer ne doit plus être une double peine. L'Association Solidarité Contre le Cancer (ASCOCA) lance un appel national au Ministère de la Santé Publique pour transformer radicalement la prise en charge des patients atteints de cancer au Cameroun.
Pour sauver des vies, nous exigeons des pouvoirs publics :
📉 Une baisse drastique des coûts médicaux : Réduction et contrôle des prix des traitements (chimiothérapie, radiothérapie...), des examens (scanners, IRM...) et des médicaments, soutenus par le rétablissement de subventions d'État.
💳 La création d'une "Carte Nationale du Patient" : Un outil indispensable pour simplifier les démarches administratives, accélérer la prise en charge et offrir des réductions vitales.
🏥 Des soins de proximité et de la prévention : La décentralisation des centres spécialisés dans toutes les régions pour éviter aux patients des déplacements ruineux, couplée à des campagnes de dépistage massif.
🤝 Une solidarité nationale et sociale : L'intégration du cancer dans la Couverture Santé Universelle (CSU), la création d'un fonds de solidarité, et un accompagnement humain renforcé (soutien psychologique, aide à l'hébergement et à la nutrition).

Faced with the crushing cost of the illness, cancer must no longer be a double punishment. The Association Solidarité Contre le Cancer (ASCOCA) is launching a national appeal to the Ministry of Public Health to radically transform the care of cancer patients in Cameroon.
To save lives, we demand from the public authorities:
📉 A drastic drop in medical costs: Reduction and price control of treatments (chemotherapy, radiotherapy...), examinations (scans, MRIs...) and medications, supported by the restoration of state subsidies.
💳 The creation of a "National Patient Card": An essential tool to simplify administrative procedures, speed up care, and offer vital discounts.
🏥 Accessible Local Care and Prevention: The decentralization of specialized centers across all regions to spare patients from financially ruinous travel, coupled with mass screening campaigns.
🤝 National and Social Solidarity: The integration of cancer care into Universal Health Coverage (UHC), the creation of a solidarity fund, and enhanced human support (psychological counseling, housing assistance, and nutritional aid).
