Hello, I continue to make great strides in new contacts as it relates to the topic of domestic violence. I now have had people reach out to me from out of state and they are seeing some similar patterns and family court systems and it sounds like we have a much bigger problem on our hands when it comes to domestic violence and how it impacts families.. whether or not you have children there are impacts. For those who do not have children there is still extended family, and with that extended family, there can be a lot of pain. PTSD from domestic violence is real. I’ve had a lot of people traumatized by what I went through because they helped me and one of the greatest things you can do is step up and speak the truth. Violence has no place in our world. Please continue to share this important petition, and I will continue to work with our legislators. If there’s anything in particular, you would like to see as part of the domestic violence laws being made much better than what we have today, please reach out. I’m looking for mandatory reporters at the state to be exempt from private lawsuits and I am looking for a square footage requirement that the abuser needs to have right now it is 0 feet in Arizona and I am also looking for stronger reinforcements, on order of protections, including turning the breaking of one into what needs to be a felony. The state does not take misdemeanor seriously and Pinal county definitely could care less. Finally, in case of domestic violence, intense research needs to be done because abusers can just go in and file up any order they feel like and a judge will sign it and it can be insane. That’s called abuse of the system. Please help me to stop domestic violence in Pinal County and stop the cuddling and the pampering of domestic violence abusers. Just remember it can happen to men or women.
