As we continue to move the needle towards healing our community from the disruption and hemorrhage of resources, staff and communication, I ask for you as concerned parents to help. As we know the board approved the teacher contract on Thursday evening. This is a step in the right direction, but not the complete solution. We have a long road (years) ahead of to being the bright and shining community we once were and to rebuild the staffing we have lost during this avoidable situation.
The way to move forward in a productive manner is to continue to raise our voices, address our concerns, tell our stories and to above all provide solutions or opportunities to make changes where it counts. Communication and leadership comes from the top of the school board down to the leadership within each school. While there has been no clear communication with us as parents and teachers about the state of Dr. Flora’s employment, her absence from board meetings and from the school during the last 10 days has been evident. The concern of why this took so long (years) for the board to address and take action needs to be heard.

What we need from you as parents is to tell your story to school board, tell them how the disruption and deplorable tactics and delay in handling the leadership grievances has effected your family personally. We need them to hear our voices loud and clear. We need them to know this only bandaged the injury, we need to fix it from the original pain point and rehab it until it is back to good. We need to apply pressure showing them we are not backing down until we are back to good. This is going to take all of us coming together and now is the time to share your feelings, thoughts and emotions with each of these leaders who were voted by our township to lead.
