Philippines is known as one of the animal lovers in the world. Most of Filipinos has its own pet and cared animals at their home. However, it is not a valid reason to have zero percentage on incidence of animal cruelty. As of today, there are a lot reports and news regarding the issue.Despite the law imposed against abuse of animals, still it exists and concerns of most pet-lovers.

For instance, there are situation when a man become convicted due to abuse he committed to his neighbor's animal, specifically two goats. Based on the report, this man named as Andres and was accused of slapping and kicking two goats while was tied in front of his neighbor's wife. He was stopped by the witness,however, he ignores it and continue doing the cruelty. With the help of animal welfare group, the suspect has finally been convicted after ten years of due process in court.

This case is a sample where animal cruelty still occurs in our country. Animal rights were neglected and violated by some of self-proclaimed animal lovers.It is a concern not only of those true animal lovers but mostly of all Filipino living in our country. Animals should be respected as the way humans done to each other. Its existence and role are important matter in the world. They are creations of God and every living thing has right to live peacefully. If we are loved by many, so they are too. If we are created by God, so they are too. We could achieve this aim if we are able to stand against this issue.

First, do have a mandatory order in different barangays in dealing animal cruelty. Through this, we can observed and treated numerous cases in small areas on our country. Second, do an immediate action when witnessing animal abuse. In this sense, we can fill the gaps of busy officials in our area and able to seek an alternative help to concerned agencies.

Who would be the beneficiary of this petition?

Of course, We, humans; these pets can be our friend whom we can talk to. A sense of responsibility would be fulfilled through this stand, since these animals relied on us and also humans to animals.
