Demolition Hearing Tomorrow: Please Join Us

Dear Supporter, We have sad news to share: Unfortunately, the demolition review hearing is scheduled for tomorrow for the home of Miami Beach co-founder John H Levi. We have not heard any official word back from Mayor Levine and we are unaware of any efforts made on the part of the City to work with the owner to encourage the home to be preserved. Please join us at tomorrow's Design Review Board meeting to put on the record your opposition to allowing this historical home to be replaced with a new McMansion. We are still hopeful that the owner, Shay Kostiner, will reconsider his plans to erase this important part of Miami Beach and Star Island's history. Details of the meeting are below. Thank you! Location: 3rd Floor Commission Chambers, City Hall, 1700 Convention Center Drive Time: Meeting starts at 8:30am. The 44 Star Island project is in the middle of the agenda.
